The trend towards larger-scale air separation equipment has become established within the industry. Driven by China's carbon neutrality policies, stricter carbon emission controls are compelling industrial enterprises to replace outdated machinery with large-scale and extra-large units featuring lower energy consumption per unit output. According to calculations by the China Industrial Gases Association, specialised large-scale air separation units producing over 5000Nm³/h of oxygen exhibit lower energy consumption per unit of production than smaller installations.
